One of his most memorable work in Paris sa a 8-page fashion shoot photographed by Karl Lagerfeld in Interview magazine. Also within the same year, he expanded his career by signing with an Italian model agency, Beatrice. Among his various experiences with major companies in Milan, his work with Jil Sander influenced him greatly. Working closely with her team, both as a runway and fit model. he was truly moved how a team of professionals, including stylist Joe McKenna, are able to perfect their creation together. Through his world-wide experiences as a model, his interest and passion for clothing grew, and in 2000, it resulted in the start up of his own menswear line CICATA. Starting his Autumn 2004 collection. Rihito himself became the Creative Director of his brand in order to further express his own vision in the brand. He specifically places importance in his pursuit of the best marriage between design and fabric in order to create the perfect silhouette. Finest wools, silks and cotton are chosen and many times created for his products in Japan, Europe and India.
His clean and noble styles always have a touch of humor and charm, and they somewhat seem to be reflecting Rihito's personal style.
